At VeeOne Health, nothing is more important than our customers’ security. Data privacy and security is the foundation to everything we do, and a cornerstone of our mission to make virtual care secure, reliable, and an integral part of any healthcare organization. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve achieved two major security milestones: VeeOne Health has received ISO 27001 certification and successfully completed the Service Organization Controls (SOC 2 Type 1) audit report.
These achievements validate that we have invested in the people, processes, controls, and technologies to protect our organization’s and customers’ data and that we are managing information security according to international best practices.
Why is this important?
Privacy breaches in Health IT systems can be catastrophic, which is one of the reasons why HIPAA regulations were established in 1996. HIPAA regulations protect patient information from unauthorized eyes, and this information must be protected wherever it travels. In telehealth, patient chart information and privileged communications flow across the internet, and these communications must also be rigorously protected.
What This Means for You
As a VeeOne Health partner or potential partner, you want to be assured that your patient information is protected throughout its lifecycle. VeeOne Health already had a strong reputation for securing our customers’ sensitive data as it moves through Tele-ICU and our other solutions. Achieving ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 compliance adds the ultimate layer of certainty that your data will be safe, and that you can use our solutions to optimize staffing, conserve resources, and improve patient care with the confidence you need to move forward.
