VeeOne Health Wraps up Banner Year with Market Expansion and Prestigious Frost & Sullivan Award

In 2020, VeeOne Health led the way in providing acute-care, telehealth solutions to address the overwhelming influx of patients needing care at healthcare facilities while reducing additional exposure to COVID-19 in hospitals.

In January, ​one of the largest non-profit healthcare systems in the United States, Banner Health, selected VeeOne Health to enable ambulatory and acute virtual care services for their patients.  This also included virtual urgent care, primary care, specialty care, behavioral health, telestroke, and additional service lines throughout the Southwestern United States.

With COVID-19 picking up steam in June, VeeOne Health, Intel®, and Banner Health deployed a telehealth solution to over 1,200 in-room televisions across all 28 Banner Health facilities in Arizona, representing the largest telehealth solution installation since the outbreak of COVID. VeeOne Health also provided tele-ICU at Marshall Medical Center leading to successful ventilator weaning shortened patient stays.

Operating with a global commitment, in July VeeOne Health announced a strategic partnership with the UAE-based SEED Group to make use of advanced telehealth solutions throughout the UAE and northern Africa following the rise of patients seeking assistance through remote services for medical consultations, prescriptions, detection of virus symptoms and treatment of mental health problems.

Recognizing that many patients are in rural areas—making travel to and from healthcare facilities problematic—VeeOne Health also partnered with one of Georgia’s largest and most integrated health systems, Wellstar Health System, to provide telestroke and teleneurology services for its hospitals throughout Georgia.  VeeOne Health’s network of physicians have an average response time between 1-3 minutes—surpassing other competitive stroke programs that have response times of 15 minutes or longer.

VeeOne Health also started providing physician services to two other major healthcare systems. In August, VeeOne Health started a program to provide tele-ICU and tele-psychiatry services to CommonSpirit Health™, a nonprofit health system formed in 2019, which joined Dignity Health™ and Catholic Health Initiatives. In November, VeeOne Health started providing tele-ICU services to Banner Health.

In October, VeeOne Health was selected to join Intel’s IoT Solutions Alliance as an Intel IoT Market Ready Solutions (MRS) partner. As part of the alliance, VeeOne Health joins a network of more than 500 IoT leaders and 6,000 solutions from around the world, and becomes a part of the company’s ecosystem of partners offering scalable, interoperable, end-to-end solutions that accelerate the deployment of intelligent devices and analytics.

Also in October, VeeOne Health launched VeeClinic, its innovative, one-click virtual care solution that enables outpatient providers to conduct user-friendly visits with patients, from anywhere, and from any device. With COVID-19 a concern for many patients wishing to see an outpatient provider, VeeClinic provides a safe and easy way for providers to reach their patients, and for patients to get the physician care they need, without leaving their home.

In December, Qualcomm announced that VeeOne Health will be included in the Qualcomm IoT Services Suite for Healthcare as-a-Service to provide direct access for remote patient monitoring and Tele ICU capabilities. The Qualcomm IoT Services Suite delivers comprehensive, end-to-end, IoT as a Service (IoTaaS) solutions to enable the digital transformation of smart cities and smart connected spaces globally.

 

 

Frost & Sullivan Award Validates VeeOne Health’s Vision and Leading Technology

At its 2020 Best Practices Awards Ceremony on December 15, Frost & Sullivan awarded VeeOne Health the prestigious Frost & Sullivan 2020 North American Entrepreneurial Company of the Year Award for Transformational Healthcare.  The award recognized leading organizations across The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), India, Asia and North America for their visionary growth, innovation, leadership, commitment, customer service and successful business strategies required to advance in the global marketplace.

According to the Frost and Sullivan industry report that accompanied the award, VeeOne Health is one of the few companies developing innovative technology in the telehealth space with physicians leading the technology development. VeeOne Health’s founders were cited as visionaries who “established the company to address gaps in the technology and interoperability of existing solutions. The founders kept these pain points in mind as they developed their solution, which led to the founding of VeeOne Health.”

Frost & Sullivan gave accolades and drew attention to all VeeOne Health’s products including VeeKart, VeeKast, VeeDoc, VeeOne OS, and VeeClinic—VeeOne Health’s telehealth solution for outpatient settings that offers a streamlined, one-click solution that allows for providers to securely treat patients remotely, whether they are at home or in a clinic.

 

 

Post COVID

Telehealth is here to stay.  And around the country, VeeOne Health solutions and tele-ICU programs already are empowering busy hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing care for more patients while minimizing infection risk to healthcare staff.

Moving into 2021, VeeOne Health’s Tele-ICU programs—command centers staffed with intensivists and critical care nurses who electronically aid and deliver real-time information to frontline clinicians—are enabling critical care specialists, or tele-intensivists, to be at the patient’s bedside virtually with the ability to make critical, time sensitive decisions.  The tele-intensivist coordinates care of the patients with the physician of record, nursing, ancillary staff and family.  Responses are typically within five minutes of notice.
